I have never had to busk, which is probably just as well, as my singing is terrible, but I imagine that it takes a lot of guts and determination. People simply walking past you in their thousands, ignoring your best efforts, and not throwing any money your way must be very disheartening, but I guess as they say ” what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.” Desperate times call for desperate measures, and a lot of the time the best way to grow you audience is to have an audience to begin with.
Nobody likes to be the first one to stop and watch, so if you already have an audience then it becomes that little bit easier. The composition of the audience is actually not that important, as this amazing video clip will demonstrate. The busker seems to have hit the right notes with at least four listeners as they are all sat totally still mesmerised by his wonderful singing.
Now they may not be the biggest tippers in the world, but they are working their magic as other people stop to watch the performance of both the busker and the cats. These cats stay totally still and watch the music for well over a minute, not something that occurs regularly with a kitten unless it is asleep. Looks like this busker has some fans that think he is the cats whiskers.
